Chris Giattina was a featured speaker at the 2017 Health Facilities Innovation Forum.
Chris is an architect and manufacturer who thinks everything can be better. Designing training facilities for Honda
and Kia introduced him to manufacturing methods that he thought could improve the declining productivity of
traditional design and construction. Chris and his team developed an open source-project delivery process called
Design Manufacture Construct – design that uses manufacturing productivity to simplify construction. Unable to
find a manufacturer interested in their work, he started BLOX as a ground-up manufacturing company organized
around the principals of DMC. Today BLOX works with large healthcare systems across the country designing,
manufacturing and constructing complex buildings.
Chris has degrees from Georgia Tech and University of Pennsylvania and is CEO of BLOX and GA Studio.
